This site captures the mood of the rural Irish landscape in words and photographs.
The landscapes of Sligo and Donegal are made for photography with their natural beauty and some of the most inspirational scenery I have ever seen.
The Irish landscape reveals signs of civilisation dating back 6000 years and has a very powerful sense of place and time. The longer you are here, the more you want to stay.
Taking the road less travelled and seeing what happens is a good choice for some people. We are all naturally creative and if allowed the time to occupy our own space we can find that spark which unleashes the desire to express what we feel in our soul.
The landscape has something to teach us because it's permanence and beauty remind us that the timespan of a human life is fleeting.
The West of Ireland is different from the city life I left behind and it took adjusting to. The slower pace of life forces one to change and this site is the result my personal journey of change and discovery. The portfolio and writings reflect some thoughts and experiences I had as I strived to live a more conscious life while remaining unscathed by the absurdity and insanity of the boom years. It was a wise choice after all is said and done.
