The Magic of the Irish Landscape

This site came about by accident after a time when my life was being guided by mysterious forces that seemed beyond my control. Ireland was changing and I wanted to retain a sense of the past


I always loved traditional art forms like sketching and painting and their modern digital equivalents are perfect for depicting nature and the landscape. Photography is my favourite craft of all and I do it to capture special personal moments when the light graces the land close to my home in County Sligo


Irish Landscape Photography

When I first visited the landscapes of Sligo and Donegal it changed my life. I loved the place from the beginning and wanted to live here and today it continues to fire my imagination and stir my creativity


This landscape reveals signs of civilisation dating back about 6000 years and it has a permanent sense of place and time which reminds one that a human life is just a fleeting moment and that time is something we should make the most of


I believe that most of us are naturally creative and can unlock the door that stops us being creative and that we can each express ourselves and do it in our own way
