About Me
I grew up in Glasgow and left when I was still young because the place was falling to pieces and hope had become a stranger. After years on the road in my electronics career I came to in Dublin in 1999 and felt at home. I have been in Ireland ever since.
It was not long before the adventurer took over me again and I left Dublin in 2001 to live in County Donegal. My family came from Donegal long ago and the homing instinct was too strong to ignore. It has been quiet but eventful and it turned out to be an interesting journey which has forever changed the lives of both myself and my partner Elizabeth.
Ireland and it's people have changed the way we look at life and we are happier because of it.
Things I do
Photography is my excuse to get out in the fresh air and enjoy life. It is a creative process which I will spend the rest of my life trying to master. Now that the internet has given photographers more avenues to explore I keep up with the work done by fellow artists and photographers.
With computers I like to design data driven web sites and useful small business applications. I enjoy programming and apply what I know about the web to the problem of being self sufficient in a place where work is strangely hard to come by. Web Development and Programming are my main strengths but I can also pull my weight when it comes to design and writing.
I also do some voluntary work and find it is a good way of giving back to the community.
