A pleasant complimentary colour scheme is formed by the yellow of the setting sun and the blue-purples of the water and sky. On this evening the sky forms a canopy over the ocean and picks up a lot of orange-yellows from the sun. The rock pools add foreground interest and their stillness is in contrast to the constantly moving ocean. In the distance are the sheer cliffs of Slieve League in the South West corner of County Donegal
